Amaro Georgiano Simple Man Distillery partners with local growers to produce innovative, world class farm-to-glass spirits. Knowing this, the Michelin recognized Porchetta Group was looking for a locally sourced Amaro that would satisfy passion for the digestivo born of Italian origin. The gauntlet was thrown and Simple Man Distillery accepted the challenge.
Just a few miles down the road, Keyatta Mincey-Parker saw a need for bartenders and hospitality folks to get out in the sunshine and fresh air. This led to A Sip of Paradise Garden, a nonprofit community garden which provides horticultural therapy, employment resources, and health and wellness programs for bartenders and the greater hospitality community to recharge their minds, bodies and spirits. Keyatta needed help and Rori Robinson and Stephanie Saputo answered the call. Simple Man Distillery reached out to see if they could grow botanicals to create this Amaro. Not only was there a resounding “YES!!!”, but they lent their years of bartending experience to start playing, experimenting and blending locally grown botanicals to get started. After many attempts of finessing and fine tuning, an Amaro was born showcasing Georgia Grown flowers, roots and other botanicals bringing big smiles over a glass of Amaro Georgiano.
